What your cramps, mood swings, and heavy bleeding are really trying to tell you

If your period takes you out for days — that’s not normal. If you’re popping Advil like candy — that’s not normal. If your PMS turns you into someone you don’t recognize — that’s not normal.
But we’ve been taught to normalize suffering instead of listening to our symptoms.
Pain is a messenger, not a punishment.
Your period is a vital sign — like your pulse, temperature, or blood pressure. And when it’s disruptive, that’s your body waving a red flag.
Common signs of hormone imbalance:
Needing painkillers to get through the day
Bleeding through a tampon or pad in under an hour
Clots larger than a dime
Feeling depressed or irritable half the month
Breast tenderness, bloating, or food cravings
You might have been told this is “just how your body works.”But that’s not the whole story.
So what’s behind these symptoms?
Some of the most common root causes I see are:
Estrogen dominance (too much estrogen, not enough progesterone)
Liver sluggishness (your liver helps process hormones!)
Nutrient deficiencies (like magnesium, iron, and B6)
Post-birth control rebound
Mold toxicity (yes, mold can mess with your hormones too)
What you can do today:
Ditch the fragrance: Synthetic fragrance = hormone disruptors. Check your candles, pads, laundry soap.
Support your liver: Eat bitter foods, drink dandelion tea, and go easy on alcohol + Tylenol.
Balance your blood sugar: Your hormones need steady fuel — not a rollercoaster.
You don’t have to suffer through your cycle.
These symptoms aren’t a random curse — they’re communication.
If you’re ready to get to the root and feel balanced again, DM me PERIOD or book a discovery call here.
You deserve a cycle that works with you — not against you.
